Achievements
The Foundation has funded the following programs by providing over $647,000 in grant money:
Science Lab: Foundation pays 100% of science teacher salary, equipment and supplies
Columbia University Reading/Writing Workshop: School-wide coordinated teaching methods for reading and writing from Columbia University senior instructors!
Technology: SmartBoard Interactive Technology, laptop and desktop computers, LCD projectors for every classroom, digital cameras, software programs for the Computer Lab.
Playgrounds/PE: Renovated playground areas, improving both the safety and functionality and new P.E. equipment
Curriculum: software learning programs like BrainPop, Fundations, TouchMath, individual teacher grants for every classroom
After School Programs (BEST Clubs): Administers after-school programs like Kid Chess, Drama, Spanish, Martial Arts, Art, Guitar, Brainy Builders, Etiquette, etc.

Math Lab: Newly staffed, fully equipped and supplied hands-on Math lab with in-school instruction
Singapore Math Training: School-wide intensive math training to equip all teachers with new methods that align with the Core Curriculum
Interactive Math Murals: New interactive math murals that align with the Core Curriculum that give students hands-on math practice while moving throughout the school
Classroom Grant Program: Every teacher receives $150 to spend on curriculum-related items for the classroom
Grant Requests: Continue to fund on a class, grade and school-wide basis

IXL and Raz Kids: Educational websites used both in the classroom and at home for lessons and as assessment tools. IXL utilizes repetitive practice and games to reinforce basic math skills and Raz Kids allows students to read, listen and take quizzes online.
Core Curriculum Teacher Collaboration: Every teacher K-5 will plan units of study together that align with the new standards in the state of Georgia
Rock Climbing Wall: New 8' x 20' rock climbing wall for all students K-5 with supervised instruction
